Hoover Summer Family Camp

We have availability for July 25th and August 1st Camps only.

The Hoover Presidential Library Association, the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library-Museum and the Hoover National Park Service partner together to bring to the Hoover Complex a Family Summer Camp.  The 2012 summer camp is for children between the ages 9-12 and their grandparents/parents/guardians.  If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a great detective, now is your chance to prove it!  A detective is a person that solves mysteries by examining evidence and clues.
As you become a detective for the day you will explore the library and the prairie to:

  • Search for clues
  • Uncover evidence
  • Play the game, and
  • Discover the mystery at the Hoover Complex

Family Summer Camp

CSI:  Investigating Hoover

 

For children ages 9-12 and their grandparents/parents or guardians

Wednesdays:  July 11 or 18 or 25 or August 1, 2012

Cost:  $20 for up to 3 participants

$10 for each additional participant

      5. What day you are attending
      6. Any special accommodations needed

    Schedule for the Day:

    8:30 - 9:00 – Registration

    9:00 – 9:10 – Welcome and explain what the day looks like

    9:10 – 10:00 – Family Activity:  CSI:  History Detectives

    10:00 – 11:00 – Family Activity:  CSI:  Prairie Detectives

    11:00 – 11:15 – Snack

    11:15 – 11:55 – Family Activity:  CSI:  Game Detectives:  Hoover-Ball Game & putting the clues together

    11:55 – 12:00 – What we learned and closing remarks

    12:00 – Day is complete
